Another great day for the club Saturday with two great wins in very contested matches in the Somerset Leagues.

With Brian Powell stepping into the breach as Captain, whilst John Whittear continues to make a good recovery, the A Team held their nerve in a very close match against Portishead away. With 2 rinks finished and only a 3 shot lead for Nailsea, all the remaining players watched the final game on rink 2, biting their fingernails, crossing their fingers with some on their prayer mats, battle out the final two ends to secure the match by 68 shots to 64. This keeps the A team top of North 1.

And what about the AMAZING B Team! As you know we had to pull the B team from the League last season due to insufficient availability on a Saturday. With trepidation we took the gamble and rejoined this season in North 3. What a great season so far...With the help of some of our wonderful Ladies from NLBC to make up the 3 teams in a couple of games...the B Team are flying under the masterful leadership of Roger Chappell. Yesterday was no exception with the B Team travelling to Weston to play Victoria the team in 2nd place behind Nailsea. Again, a nail biting match ended with the Glorious B Team winning by 55 shots to 50 and keeping them TOP of the league.
